A panel of gaming industry experts have awarded Gaming Partners International (GPI) the 2009 International Gaming Award for Best Technology Manufacturer for its RFID TableTop Authenticator. The award was presented at the start of the International Gaming Expo held last month in London.

“Our TableTop Authenticator is a great device to fight counterfeiting and fraudulent activities by verifying incoming chips at the very first entry point in the casino: the tables,” says Gerard Charlier, President and CEO of GPI. The TableTop Authenticator is one part of GPI’s line of RFID-enabled gaming solutions for almost every part of a casino’s operations, from the poker table to the counting cage.

According to the guidelines of the International Gaming Awards, the category of Best Technology Manufacturer was “open to any technology company that with a specific product, has shown originality, the ability to succeed in a highly competitive market, offered services to clients that have helped increase profitability or have helped working environments become an easier and more productive place.” [end]
