Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in News

Daily RFID has announced the latest in its long list of products debuted over the last few weeks, a small HF reader which offers a convenient USB interface. The reader, which is comparable in size to a flash drive, has a 30mm to 70mm read range and has been designed for a wide variety of applications.

The 13.56MHz reader is compatible with a range of RFID chips, including I-CODE Sli, several Mifare devices, and the TI Tag-it. Among the applications the manufacturer suggests it is well-suited for are library management, time and attendance tracking, and access control.

The reader is priced at around $120 per unit. [end]
