New GAO reader is interoperable, autonomous

Wednesday, December 10, 2008 in News

Canada’s GAO RFID has introduced a new Gen2 reader offering a range of software support options as well an autonomous mode enabling independent operation based on external triggers, timing or software inputs.

The interoperable GAO 216007 is supported by numerous major RFID platforms, including Microsoft BizTalk RFID, IBM WebSphere, Oat Systems and Oracle.

Additional features offered by the new reader include a data loss prevention option, which caches RFID tag lists in non-volatile memory in order to preserve the data even in the case of a power loss. The upgradeable reader also offers a noise rejection feature to aid data capture in noisy environments. [end]
