GAO RFID premieres new handheld reader

Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in News

Canada’s GAO RFID has introduced a new low-frequency handheld RFID reader/writer. The device combines a rugged finish for dust and shock resistance with a light weight design for convenience.

In addition to its sturdy design, the 125kHz LF Rugged Handheld Reader/Writer (also referred to as the GAO221008) has a rechargeable lithium battery that enables up to ten days of use per charge. The device has a read range of 20 to 30 mm, and can operate in temperatures ranging from -5 to 50 degrees Celsius.

Applications for the reader/writer include guard tour monitoring systems, remote equipment inspection management, goods delivery and transportation management. [end]
