Construction rigging specialist selects Field ID

Friday, November 14, 2008 in News

Illinois-based John Sakach Co., a provider of construction rigging elements including wire rope, slings and associated hardware, has chosen N4 Systems’ Field ID network to manage the company’s inspection, testing, certification and repair services.

The company will use the Distributor Edition of the management system, which enables companies to have full safety traceability of products they sell and make use of the Field ID Safety Network, which shares safety critical data with vendors and customers.

“We believe that RFID-enabled products are great for our customers; we have been utilizing RFID enabled tags on all of our chain slings for almost two years.” says John Sakach, president of John Sakach Co. “We do however realize that RFID alone doesn’t mean much and we needed to select the right software to take advantage of RFID.” The company experimented with a number of RFID systems, and used the technology to track a wide variety of rigging products, before choosing to use the Field ID system. [end]
