Austrian firm finds French partner to expand market

Austrian RFID specialists RF-iT Solutions GMbH have announced a partnership with the French firm RFit Technologies in order to gain a stronger foothold in the growing French RFID market. The partnership will be used to promote RF-iT Solutions’ middleware platform YouR-OPEN to French companies, with RFit offering local expertise and assistance in adopting the system.


RF-iT Solutions has traditionally focused on RFID middleware and consulting, as well as other traceability solitions, for companies in the fashion and automotive industries. The company’s YouR-OPEN middleware is a scalable auto-ID solution which which serves as a platform for system integrators, software manufacturers and operators. With a large market presence in Germany and central Europe, the company is turning its focus to France.

France has seen the recent establishment of two RFID think tanks, the Centre National RFID and the Pole Tracabilite, which are promoting the adoption of RFID technology throughout the country. RFiT Technologies, which focuses on system for the traceability of products and auto-ID solutions, is offering middleware platforms and technical support in this RFID-friendly market, working with a number of systems integrators. [end]
