Omni-ID offers new service bureaus to ease deployment

Passive UHF RFID provider Omni-ID has launched of series of service bureau offerings to simplify the deployment process for its customers. The new service options give both end users and systems integrators a range of commissioning service possibilities for all of Omni-ID’s RFID hard tag products, in hopes of providing customers with a deployable RFID solution straight out of the box.

To eliminate labor-intensive rigid tag commissioning and ease mass adoption of RFID technolgy, Omni-ID offers a tag commissioning process. The commissioning process gives customers an encoded RFID tag coupled with a printed bar code label, enabling customers to integrate Omni-ID’s RFID tags within legacy bar code systems and providing a stepping stone to RFID adoption. [end] 

Barnes International announced that its updated Visa GPR Test module now complies with the latest version of Visa’s Global Personalization Requirements.

The updated test tool will offer evaluation of a chip product to ensure it meets industry and payment scheme certification standards. This reduces a product’s time to market as the chip is aligned to Visa Specifications throughout the development life cycle and before applying for official Visa approval.

The Omni Dallas Hotel has selected InvoTech Systems Inc. for its ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID uniform system inventory software.

The 1,001 room luxury hotel will be provided with InvoTech’s GIMS garment tracking software and all related equipment including approximately 6,000 UHF RFID laundry tags, valued at $150,000.
