Friday, September 5, 2008

Michigan-based RFID hardware supplier Evigia Systems Inc. has introduced a new line of active RFID transponders, interrogators, and accessories. The EV3 family of products is intended to offer a cost-effective solution to increase visibility of assets in-transit through a complex supply chain, monitor security breaches and provide a more reliable and timely supply network

Evigia has focused on using integrated sensor and application-specific integrated circuit technologies to improve the functionality and cost of active RFID hardware products. A spokesman for the company claims that through their research innovations, the EV3 product line can increase a network’s functionality, visibility, and security control while the hardware products offer the benefits of smaller size, lower power consumption and lower cost than previously offered devices. [end]
