Sokymat signals focus on U.S. market

A recent change in Sokymat Automotive RFID’s management team indicates a new focus on the company’s presence in the U.S. market. The Germany-based RFID component maker has appointed Marc Schnippering as regional sales manager for the company’s operations in the U.S. According to a company statement, Schnippering’s goal will be to further expand and consolidate SOKYMAT AUTOMOTIVE’s market position in the U.S. RFID and transponder marketplace.


Schnippering has ten years of experience in the international sales of RFID products. Previously, he worked for Assa Abloy Identification Technologies and HID Global, working in a range of sectors spanning access control, industrial ID and animal ID.

Schnippering will be based in Barrington, R.I. [end] 

GlobalPlatform announced that it will hold a two-day card specification training session March 1-2 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

Directly preceding CARTES North America 2012 (March 5-7, Las Vegas), the training session will aim to educate CARTES delegates and other participants on the importance of GlobalPlatform Specifications, their capabilities and functionality.
