Bluehill completes purchase of Multicard and TagStar Systems
Bluehill ID AG, a Swiss-based company specializing in RFID and other automatic identification technologies, has announced the successful completion of its acquisitions of Multicard AG and TagStar Systems GmbH.
Multicard, also based in Switzerland, is an ID technology focusing on the programming and issuance of ID cards. In early 2008, Multicard completed its own acquisition of DCS Europe, which expanded its production capabilities to cover RFID-based and contact smart card solutions for secure ID programs.
TagStar is a German-based manufacturer of RFID inlays for libraries, transport, pharmaceutical, industrial and other high value tracking applications. It also recently expanded via acquisition, purchasing Exypnotech GmbH at the end of 2007. ![[end]](/resources/bullet/rfidnews-4.gif)
