Rfidium offers custom inlay design service

Friday, August 1, 2008

Rfidium, a joint effort of WaveZero and Mu-Gahat Enterprises, has launched a custom RFID antenna inlay design and production service. The new service offers the ability to test individual tag variations to ensure that a theoretical design performs as planned in a real-world environment.

The company’s in-house staff of design engineers works with customers to produce inlay designs with specific application and frequency requirements. Once a design is completed, Rfidium can produce from one to five simultaneous RFID inlay variations for field testing, offering a quicker route to optimal design than traditional, one-at-a-time sequential testing of design iterations.

After the design stage, Rfidium offers small-scale production runs of as few as 150 inlays for prototyping and just-in-time orders, as well as large scale production runs. The company also carries a variety of stock RFID which can be custom-tuned to meet specific requirements.

In addition to Rfidium’s enterprises, WaveZero and Mu-Gahat will continue operating as independent business entities. [end]
