Datamars offers new laundry tag

Friday, July 25, 2008

Datamars, a RFID solutions provider specializing in products for the textile and companion animal industries, has launched a RFID laundry tag. The PersonalChip is a small, thin HF tag intended for use in industrial laundries.

The PersonalChip is 11mm in diameter, 2mm thick, and has a read distance of up to 20 cm. The tag can withstand temperatures between -40 and +120 degrees C, and can survive harsh treatment including sterilization. Its design also features light coloring to make it blend in on white or lightly colored clothing.

Datamars intends the chip for use as part of its solution package for nursing homes, hotels, schools, and private hospitals, and other situations where large-scale manual sorting may be required. [end]
