Xterprise appoints new software engineering VP

Xterprise Inc. has announced a new addition to its management team. Anthony DiDaniele will join the company as senior vice president of software engineering, overseeing the development of its Clarity application suite.

DiDaniele most recently served as vice president of engineering at NovusEdge, where he was responsible for all engineering and customer support functions. Previously, he occupied management positions at TMobile HotSpot, BearingPoint and Vignette, in addition to eighteen years at IBM.

In an effort to streamline passenger security, Jakarta, Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport has opened the country’s first biometric immigration gate.

Fingerprint biometric identification provider BIO-key International, Inc. and Oakwell Engineering Limited partnered to create the new gate, designed for use by passengers with electronic passports. Passengers submit their e-passports and authenticate with a fingerprint.
