TrenStar awarded patent for RFID process

Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in News

Software developer TrenStar has announced it was granted a U.S. patent for its RFID Asset Management Process. The newly patented process captures data from multiple points, transmits unique asset identifiers to a data network, and then configures the network to generate custom reports detailing the asset movement data.

“Our patented process begins and ends with how the data is ultimately used,” said Edward R. Flaherty, TrenStar’s president and CEO. “Having the ability to capture the data was always just a starting point for us.”

The patent was granted on the basis that the TrenStar process offers a unique way for users to store, analyze, and access data captured from an RFID system. [end]
