Alanco gets Missouri prisons contract

Monday, April 28, 2008 in News

Arizona-based Alanco Technologies, Inc., has been selected by the Missouri Department of Corrections to supply RFID tracking systems for five probation and parole early release facilities. The contract follows an order in 2006 for two similar systems.

Alanco’s TSI PRISM RFID officer safety and inmate tracking system is designed to assist in managing inmate movement, automate scheduling and headcount, and electronically monitor inmates’ activity within the facilities. The Missouri contract will place the systems in early release facilities housing approximately 50 inmates. They are intended to help re-integrate prisoners from a prison environment back into society, or in some cases serve as an alternative to traditional prisons. [end]
