Microsoft goes mobile with BizTalk

Thursday, April 17, 2008 in News

Microsoft has unveiled a beta version of its BizTalk RFID Mobile software.

BizTalk, a product of Microsoft’s connected systems division, integrates data sources, back-end systems and line-of-business applications into one business process. The new software addresses the challenges arising when the mobility of RFID technology comes into play.

“It creates a layer for partners to build applications on top of [without worrying] about the complexity of managing readers and the mix of devices from manufacturers,” said Steve Sloan, lead product manager of Microsoft’s connected systems division.

The final version of BizTalk RFID Mobile is expected to ship toward the end of 2008. [end]
