Sirit launches new reader

Saturday, April 12, 2008

Sirit Inc. has introduced a new high frequency reader module designed for embedded RFID applications. The INfinity 110 (“IN110”) allows for easy integration into RFID devices such as handheld readers, mobile or stationary printers as well as point-of-sale terminals.

The IN110 uses the new Texas Instruments TRF7960 chip and provides application developers with a variety of tag choices by supporting numerous protocols, including ISO 14443A and B, ISO 15693, TI Tag-it, NXP EPC, NXP UID, NXP iCode, NXP MIFARE, Ultralite, and Inside PicoTag.

“The small size, low power consumption, comprehensive protocol support and price point of the IN110 allows for greater adoption of RFID functionality into many types of devices creating new possibilities for embedded HF RFID applications,” said Tony Sabetti, vice president, RF Solutions for Sirit. [end]
