Avery Dennison sues Alien Technology over patents
Avery Dennison filed a suit in federal court against RFID hardware manufacturer Alien Technology, claiming that Alien has infringed on Avery’s intellectual property.
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court for Northern Ohio on March 27, points to three separate Avery patents covering various techniques related to the manufacture of RFID-enabled labels. Avery’s suit calls for Alien to discontinue use of technology alleged to belong to Avery, and for compensation for the infringement.
