Wood pallets go wireless

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

The wooden pallet – sturdy and reusable; ubiquitous to international shipping - has traditionally posed a challenge to RFID tracking technology. Now Finnish firm Confidex Ltd. says it has found a solution with its Confidex Pino RFID tags.

This system may enable the tagged pallets to easily enter the industry’s rental pool, making the technology’s costs more feasible for widespread use.
