RFID Reader: iDTRONIC Introduces The New EzMultiX RFID Gate Antenna And The EzScan 13.56 MHz Long Range Reader/Writer

iDTRONIC, a leading supplier of RFID Hardware solutions, presents the new HF (High Frequency) RFID Antenna Gate EzMultiX at CeBIT 2008 in Hanover at the iDTRONIC booth in Hall 7, C 20. This high-performance combination of Antenna and Multiplex Longe Range Reader is particularly well suited for integration into modern Access Control Applications.

iDTRONIC’s EzMultiX ISO 15693 LR antenna set is a high performance solution especially designed for modern RFID applications. Each side of the gate contains two small antennas, which allow tags to be read no matter how they are oriented. The LR Reader/Writer automatically controls the switching between the four individual antennas

The EzMultiX Antenna Gate is very attractively designed with a robust silver metal housing and white acrylic side panels. Red signal lamps indicate the reading of a tag. . It is possible to obtain reading distances of up to 140cm (depending on tag type and antenna configuration).

The EzScan LRM Long Range Reader is a high-performance HF Long Range reader operating at 13.56MHz. It supports different standalone modes, including EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance), to meet a wide range of application requirements. It is easily configured via four function keys on the reader. iDTRONIC’s Read/Write device for ISO 15693 transponders (ISO 18000-3) has an integrated 4 channel multiplexer for the direct connection of up to 4 antennas. The reader has a maximum output power of 8 Watts. Various input and output ports are available, including both RS232 serial and/or USB interfaces.

This matched set of devices are suitable for many RFID applications, including Time and Attendance, Access Control, and Event Management environments. In addition, the reader is field upgradeable to support future protocols.

The EzMultiX Antenna & EzScan LRM set supports all major ISO 15693 transponders, including Infineon my-d, TI Tag-it HFI, NXP I•CODE SLI and Legic Advant ATC-MV chipsets.

“IDTRONIC’s new EzMultiX Antenna Gate fits perfectly with our Long Range Reader LRM for all high performance Access Control and Time and Attendance Systems” commented Roger Kochendoerfer, Chief Executive Officer of iDTRONIC.

GAO RFID has released a Wiegand-to-Ethernet RFID controller designed specifically for door access applications.

The network access controller, model 491018, is able to connect to any type of Wiegand reader such as magnetic stripe reader, RFID reader or fingerprint reader. It also offers a master card for adding or deleting access privileges directly from the external reader, thus acting independently without connection to a network or PC.
