At Chicago Auto Show, Ford Shows Off RFID

Friday, February 8, 2008 in News

Ford Motor Co., which recently announced it is teaming up with ThingMagic and DeWalt to boost pickup rucks and vans with RFID, reportedly showed off its tech sensibility at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show.

Bill Frykman, product and business development manager at Ford, explains the decision to Computerworld.

“We talked to contractors and skilled tradespeople, who told us how often they get to a job site and realize they don’t have the tool they need for the job, or they leave the site and don’t have the tool with them,” “It’s about making sure you have the right tool at the right time.” [end]
