Karstadt deploys item-level RFID in Stock System

Monday, December 10, 2007 in News

German department store chain Karstadt is now piloting item-level RFID in stock system, according to news reports.

Karstadt avoided the higher cost and complexity of conventional item-level RFID configurations by using ADT Security Services’ new Sensormatic iREAD RFID platform instead.

In a pilot at its 30,000-square-meter Düsseldorf store, Karstadt seeks to improve its overall store efficiencies, while enhancing its customers’ shopping experiences through improved availability and management of its goods. [end]
