Sonitor to Present at 3rd Annual Active RFID, Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) and Sensor Networks Summit

Sonitor Technologies announced it is scheduled to present at and is a silver sponsor of, the 3rd Annual Active RFID, Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) and Sensor Networks Summit, organized by IDTechEx, on December 5-6 in Dallas.

Terry Aasen, President and CEO of Sonitor Technologies, Inc, will give a presentation on December 5th at 12:30XPM CET, titled, “The Unique Advantages of RTLS Ultrasound Technology.” The presentation will highlight the key advantages of ultrasound identification technology (USID), as opposed to RFID, for indoor positioning systems. [end] 

Northwest Michigan Surgery Center (NMSC) has selected the Versus Advantages real-time locating system (RTLS) to better improve its patient care experience.

Averaging around 80 patients per day, the Northwest Michigan Surgery Center will use the Versus RTLS to relay patient status information to families, as well as to provide automated process flow management for NMSC clinical staff.

Zebra and Checkpoint Systems have entered into a cooperative relationship and licensing agreement. While the exact terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the relationship does bring together Zebra’s active location solutions with Checkpoint division OATSystems’ passive RFID, auto-ID and sensor capabilities.

Ekahau announced it has joined the Juniper Networks Technology Alliance program as a foundation partner. The Ekahau RTLS system will leverage Juniper’s wireless networks to derive real-time location, status and other information about Ekahau Wi-Fi tags without requiring any proprietary sensors or readers.
