VeriChip Stock Reacts to Cancer Link

Reports by the AP, Wired News, Canada.com and others linking implantable VeriChip RFID tags to cancer have apparently affected the parent company’s shares.

Shares as of VeriChip Corp. plunged more than 10 percent yesterday following these reports.

The Florida company, which develops and makes products in Ottawa, saw the stock experience the biggest decline since it went public early this year.
