Great Falls, Va., company epcSolutions today announced a partnership agreement with Niceware to include the NiceLabel bar code or RFID smart label design and print software into RFIDTagManager.

RFIDTagManager, a popular RFID compliance software for the current 600 WalMart suppliers, is capable of being set-up easily to print WalMart, DoD or Best Buy compliant labels in under one hour as a standalone solution. It can also be fully integrated with many back-end systems.

RFIDTagManager is the most installed RFID compliance software for the current 600 WalMart suppliers. RFIDTagManager 3.5 has added full DoD compliance support including Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Advance Ship Notice (ASN) and UID. Wal*Mart compliance support now includes the capability for Data Synchronization (GDSN) and Advance Ship Notice (ASN). RFIDTagManager 3.5 also includes an API for advance integration with back-end systems.

Infineon Technologies has released the first samples of its 65 nanometer embedded flash (eFlash) microcontrollers for chip card and security applications.

Co-developed by TSMC, the microcontroller features a 65 nm footprint that provides greater efficiency over former IC technologies, according to Infineon. The partners have also announced the development of new 300 mm wafers as a more efficient alternative to 200 mm models.
