Elektrobit Corp. Purchases 7iD Tech Shares, Strengthens RFID Offerings

Elektrobit Corporation (EB) has purchased 100% of the shares in 7iD Technologies GmbH.

The acquired company specializes in RFID technology, provides services and products for system integrators and RFID companies and delivers technology and turn-key solutions for supply chain and asset management in pharmaceutical, paper, aviation and automotive industries.

The Elektrobit transaction strengthens the offering of the Wireless Sensor Solutions Business Unit, which belongs to the Wireless Business Segment.

The core products of 7iD are Reader and Acquisition Service software products, RFID Controllers and related application-specific edgeware software products which support and expand EB’s Identification Network Architecture. [end] 

Operational Research Consultants Inc. (ORC), a subsidiary of WidePoint Corp., has been authorized to issue PIV-I as a certified non-federal issuer.

As a non-federal issuer, ORCs identity credentials, issued to government contractors, state and local governments, first responders and health care providers, have additional interoperability for customers who wish to conduct e-government and e-commerce transactions with other entities across the Federal Bridge.
