Italian Marble Supplier Opts for RFID

Tracking and tracing marble’s the latest way to use RFID, as supplier Bresciana Graniti begins to affix passive 13.56 MHz tags onto big blocks of the stuff.

Each tagged slab of marble or granite is photographed, and its photos are linked together with its tag unique ID number in the company’s information system, reports RFID Journal.

The system was implemented by integrator Zerouno Informatica, and the tags are made by Lab ID, the Journal reports. [end]
