Test Results on Performance and Scalability Produced by University of Arkansas RFID Lab Will Be Presented at RFID 2007
IEEE RFID 2007 Conference SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SensorConnect Inc, (www.sensorconnect.com), a leading provider of full global supply chain visibility by multiple parties in real-time, today announced that the company and representatives from University of Arkansas will be presenting the paper, “SensorConnect Performance and Scalability Experiments” at IEEE RFID 2007 Conference being held at the Gaylord Texan Resort in conjunction with RFID World 2007 in Grapevine, Texas, March 26-28, 2007.
Dr. Ray Huetter, CTO of SensorConnect and Dr. Craig Thompson professor and database chair of the University of Arkansas will be discussing the successful completion of a series of tests at the University of Arkansas RFID test labs on an event processing system that showed a peak ingestion and query rate of over 400,000 RFID events per second. These tests were performed on entry level server hardware. SensorConnect was founded to address the well known limitations of today’s transaction processing systems and provides solutions in handling real-time high volume sensor data it has developed a responsive and scalable platform for handling multiple streams of high volume RFID data.
